Came to America about 1866. Became a naturalized citizen in Platte County, Nebraska on September 16, 1879. Joseph and Anna Ida Hoefelmann were married November 23, 1871, in Columbus, Platte county, Nebraska. In 1872, Joseph bought lots in the Columbus cemetery to bury twin girls who died in March of 1872.

I have never been able to find an obituary although I really tried. Did find a record in the funeral home for his burial.
