Anders took a great step forward in society during his lifetime. He was a carpenter like his brother Eric and being business minded Anders made the most of the hot building market in Stockholm.

Late in life he married the shop keeper Selma Svahn and together they continued to run her haber-dashery shop. Anders' success in life aroused envy among some. He was sociable and loved to play and sing.
