ROBERT HEIMGARTNER DEAD AFTER STROKE

Robert C. Heimgartner, 69, retired Juliaetta rancher, died yesterday at 10:20 a.m. at his home at 809 Bryden Ave., Lewiston, Orchards, after suffering a stroke.

He was born August 14, 1885, at Le Mars, Iowa, where he attended school.

In 1901, Mr. Heimgartner went to Juliaetta where he operated a ranch until retirement in 1947. He was married to Bessie Hoisington in Juliaetta on November 10, 1908. She died January 11, 1934.

July 4, 1947, he was married to Hazel Cogland in Seattle, Washington. That same year he moved to Lewiston where he lived until his death.

Survivors include his wife at Lewiston; six sons, Leslie, Elmer, Roy and Wayne, all of Juliaetta; Everett of Clarkston, and Lawrence of Kendrick; and three daughters, Mrs. Lilly McCall and Mrs. Laverne Harri, both of Clarkston, and Mrs. Betty Surbaugh of Lewiston. Also surviving him are four brothers, Albert of Juliaetta, William of Clarkston, Ernest of Cameron and Walter of California, and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Blakeley in California. Twenty-one grandchildren also survive.

Funeral arrangements are pending with Brower-Wann Funeral Home in charge.
