Bernard Flemming Passed Away Sunday
Young Freedom Farmer Was In Prime of Life At Time Of Death
Bernard Michael Flemming died at his farm home fourteen miles south of here in the town of Freedom Sunday noon of micarditis and complications. He had been ill for some considerable time and during the past two months his illness had become critical. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Flemming and followed the occupation of farming during his lifetime. The deceased was born Feb. 17, 1899 and at the time of his death was thirty years, eight months and ten days old.
Seven years ago he was married at the Freedom Lutheran Church to Alvina Roeker and to this union two children who ages are six years and one year, were born. His wife and children survive as do two brothers, Arthur and Fred of Alton and four sisters, two of whom are married and two are single.
The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at one o'clock from the home and at two o'clock from the Freedom Lutheran Church with Rev. Mueller officiating. Interment took place in the Freedom Lutheran cemetery. The pallbearers were: Ernest Marquardt, Walter Gerdts, Henry Thralow, Albert Fratzke, Chris Kelling and Henry Miller.
