"From the book Early History of Bristol, Vermont formerly known as Pocock by the Hon. Harvey Munsill, Esq. pub. mid 1800's it states that he was originally buried south of town in Bristol Flats on the East side of the highway. James Dean and the other early settlers of Bristol were buried there. I am being told that all the remains in this original cemetery were disinterred and buried in Greenwood. There is a manuscript and transcription in UVM special collections The Reminisces Of William Dean 1855 that has a lot of info in it."
