Mrs. Wittrock Dies After Ten Weeks Illness

Funeral Service Will Be Tuesday Morning At Halbur

Mrs. August Wittrock, 50, died at her home south of Halbur about 7:40 pm Friday after a ten weeks' illness.

Funeral services are to be at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning at St. Augustine's Church, Halbur. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

The body is being returned this afternoon from the Dietrich Funeral Home to the family residence to repose there until the time of the services.

Mrs. Wittrock was born Ella Mary Drees, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Drees, Feb. 23, 1891, near Roselle. She married August Wittrock Feb. 9, 1915, at Holy Angels Church.

Suriving are her husband and the following children: Freda, Mrs. John Behrens (Beatrice), Walter, Mildred, Bertilla, Marvin, Earl, Victor and Laura. She has one grandson, Cletus Behrens.

She also leaves her mother, Mrs. Anna Drees of Roselle, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Frank Dentlinger, Halbur; Mrs. Joe Schneider of Missouri; Joe Drees, Lidderdale; Mrs. Frank Kraus, Early; Mrs. Frank Wittrock, Halbur; John Drees, Roselle; Louis Drees, Carroll; Henry Drees, Templeton; Ed Drees, Manning; Richard Drees, Maple River, and Evelina Drees, Roselle. She was preceded in death by her father.

Mrs. Wittrock, a member of St. Augustine's Church, died well fortified with the last rites of the Catholic Church.
