Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Kissner, 99, were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 1973 at Germantown United Methodist Church with Rev. Hugh Stephenson officiating.
The organist was Mrs. Robert Creighton and soloist was Wilbert Juhnke. Pallbeareds were Maynard Matzke, Jerry Kissner, James Steinle, Donald Laschkewitsch, Ralph Borchardt and Kenneth Kissner. Interment was in the Lamberton Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Kluegels Funeral Home in Lamberton.
Mrs. Anna Kissner, a Lamberton area resident, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 1973 at Westbrook, where she had been a resident for over three years.
Anna Margaret was born December 9, 1874 to Ben and Margaret Marti at Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. She married Louis Kissner on November 1, 1898 at Sleepy Eye and they farmed near Lamberton until retiring and moving into Lamberton in 1940. She entered the Westbrook Home on May 1, 1970. Mr. Kissner preceded his wife in death on December 14, 1963.
Five children survive: Mrs. William (Agonia) Borchardt of Stanchfield, Minnesota; Mrs. William (Melba) Tlam of Jeffers, Minnesota; Mrs. Reuel (Viola) Reif of New Salem, North Dakota; Theodore and Robert, both of Lamberton; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild. Her husband, one daughter Luella (Mrs. Ben Matzke), one grandchild, six brothers and one sister preceded her in death. – Lamberton News
