Andrew H. Feldmann, 66, 25200 Dry Hollow Road, Farley, died at 7:27 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998, at Mercy Health Center St. Joseph's Unit, Dubuque. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by the Farley American Legion Post 656. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a Catholic Order of Foresters rosary at 4:30 p.m., an American Legion service at 7:30 p.m., and a wake service at 8 p.m. Mr. Feldmann farmed in the Farley area since 1958. He also was part-owner of Hawkeye Farmers Seed Co. He was born on July 1, 1931, in Cascade, son of Charles J. and Irene (Kelchen) Feldmann. He married Margaret E. Kass on Aug. 9, 1956, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Farley. He received his education in the Worthington area schools. Andrew was an Army veteran, having served from 1953-55. He was a member of the Farley American Legion Post 656; American Guernsey Cattle Association; Iowa Guernsey Cattlemen's Association; the Catholic Order of Foresters Court 607; and St. Joseph's Parish in Farley. Andrew was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing cards. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Feldmann, of Farley; six sons, Merlin, Leon, Jerry and Doug Feldmann, all of Farley, Mike (and Joelyn) Feldmann, of Security, Colo., and Pat (and Sandi) Feldmann, of Dyersville; three daughters, Helen Hildebrand, of Bankston, Julie (and Randy) Klein, of Sherrill, and Tracey Feldmann, of Ames; seven grandchildren; five brothers, Francis (and Rose) Feldmann, of Hopkinton, Delmar (and Mary Lou) Feldmann, of Westfield, Ind., Carl (and Imogene) Feldmann, of Dyersville, Leonard (and Caroline) Feldmann, of Darlington, Wis., and Tom (and Grace) Feldmann, of Worthington; two sisters, Lucille (and Al) Vonderhaar, of Luxemburg, and Rita (and Charles) Meyer, of Holy Cross. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Donald, Raymond, Lawrence and Leo Feldmann; a sister, Marie Streif; and a son-in-law, Loras Hildebrand. An Andrew H. Feldmann Memorial Fund has been established.
