Wife of Otto Sonefeld passed away at 4:45 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness. Age 73 years, Mary A. Wechorek was born August 31, 1886 in Manistee (Michigan). She was married to Mr. Sonefeld there in 1907. They came to Saginaw about 1915. The deceased was a member of SS. Peter and Paul's Church, its Altar Society and the League of Catholic Women. Besides her husband, she leaves five sons and one daughter, Aloysius J., John F., Robert L. Sonefeld and Mrs. Anthony Haskin, all of Saginaw, Jerome W. Sonefeld, Grand Rapids; Edward O. Sonefeld, Ludington; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will take place at 9 a.m. Monday at the McIntyre Chapel. Solemn Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul's Church, with Msgr. John J. Sonefeld as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 7 p.m. Saturday, where they will meet at 8 p.m. Sunday to say the rosary.
