Frank C. Rolfes, 77, lifelong resident of the Le Mars area, died Saturday (Nov. 8,1975) at Floyd Valley hospital in Le Mars after an illness of two months.

He was born Jan. 10, 1898, in Le Mars, a son of Clem and Agnes Mohring Rolfes. His marriage to Seraphine Guntren took place Feb 9, 1930, at Merrill. Mr. and Mrs, Rolfes farmed in the Le Mars area since that time.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. James Catholic church in Le Mars. Rev. Francis Staber will officiate and burial will be in Calvary cemetery in Le Mars under direction of the Luedtke funeral home in Le Mars.

The rosary will be recited Monday at 7:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors are his wife, rural Le Mars; two sons, Francis of Merrll and Jim of Le Mars; three daughters, Mrs, Dorothy Hurley, Mason City; Mrs. Paul (Norma) McCarthy of Sioux City and Sister M. Gertrude of Polo, S.D.,; 19 grand-children; two sisters, Sister M. Anicita, 0.S.F. of Stacyville and Mrs. Herman (Bernadine) Schroeder, Kingsley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Doris; three brothers, Ben, Herman and Henry; two sisters, Anne Rolfes and Agnes Ruba.
