Death of Mrs. Heinzen, who resided near St. Nazianz, on Sat. after a long illness. The burial took place Tues.

Heinzen, Katherine nee Beth (June 1831-June 28, 1890 –wife of Peter Joseph Heinzen [married March 30, 1853 in the Town of Manitowoc Rapids] –daughter of Jacob Beth and Anna Maria Klein –born at Gref in district of Trier, Prussia – Katherine’s widowed mother and 5 of Katherine’s siblings immigrated to the US on the boat Clara departing from the Port of Antwerp, arriving in the Port of New York on Aug. 5, 1856 –although it is likely Katherine was also on this boat, her name does not show on the passenger list –died from “kidney disease”) –buried at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton [buried in Section 2, Row 6, Lot 3 –stone] [marriage record Manitowoc 1-8] [death record Manitowoc 4-125]
