"In the year of Christ, 1822, December 15th, at night at 2 o'clock, according to their [..] trustworthy (?) statement, to Leonard Petry, citizen and farmer in this town {Mosbach}, by his wife Maria Eva, nee Gloos, the ninth child was born, a son, the 8th son, and baptized the 15th of the same month, where he got the name Wilhelm. Godfather was: Johann Wilhelm Schlatt, citizen and farmer in this town, who signed the present protocol, next to the father and to me, the vicar who did the baptizing.

Married the 8th of March 1849 at the parish house in Mosbach - Wilhelm Petry, legitimate son of the citizen and farmer at Mosbach, Leonhard Petry and Maria Eva Gloos, 26 years, 9 months old and Katharina Röhl, single legitimate daughter of the citizen at Wenigumstadt, Georg Roehl and the deceased Barbara born Lyni, age 27 years 8 months old.

They departed from Havre...originating in Switzerland and came through the port of New Orleans on March 2, 1849. Family #186225 National Archives # M259-30. They were listed as follows:
