Robert "Bob" Bellendir, 71, of Sterling, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, in Sterling. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at Tennant Funeral Home with Vigil and Rosary Evening Service to follow at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with the Rev. Wojciech Gierasimczyk celebrating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Bob was born on May 20, 1941, in Iliff to Alexander and Susan (Monheiser) Bellendir. He attended elementary and graduated high school in Iliff. He married Mary Ann Haberkorn on June 27, 1964 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. They were married for 48 years. He worked for Nichols Tilliage most recently, from 1997-2007, Sterling Beef Company, Borden Dairy, Coca-Cola, and in the oil fields. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, fishing, watching sports, and was a huge Bronco fan. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially grandkids, and taking car rides with his dog Remy. He was also excited to be expecting his first great-grandchild.

He is survived by wife, Mary Ann Bellendir; son, Michael and Shelly Zinkosky; granddaughter, Kaycie Zinkosky of Glendora, Calif.; son, Christopher and wife Lisa; grandson, Joey Bellendir of Loveland; and Stacey Bartlett of Greeley; twin granddaughters, Chrissa and Samantha Bellendir of Sterling; daughter, Laurie Bellendir of Sterling; granddaughter, Alexandra Bellendir and Derik Bandy of Sterling; one great-grandchild on the way; brother, Joseph Bellendir of Sterling; sisters, Catherine Bellendir of Sterling and Annie Fowler of Northglenn; sisters-in-law, Judy and husband Russ Clodfelder, Shirley Manuello, Debbie Miano and husband Joseph; numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Susan; brothers, Anthony, John, Alex, Pete, Jake, Andrew, George, Adam, Steve, Phillip, Lawrence; sister, Mary Loos. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital for Children in care of Tennant Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1547, Sterling, CO 80751.
