Susan Catherine Bellendir, 92, of Sterling died in her home Friday, July 31, 1992.
Visitation will be today, Monday, Aug. 3 and Tuesday Aug. 4 from 10 a.m, to 8 p.m. with vigil, rosary service Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Tennant Funeral Home. Services will be Wednesday, Aug. 5 at 10 a.m. at Saint Anthony's Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Blanco officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Mrs. Bellendir was born to John Monheiser and Constance Bellendir on December 7, 1899, in Gabel, Russia. She came to America in 1905 with her parents. They lived for approximately one year in Kansas then moved to the Sterling area. She married Alexander Phillip Bellendir on December 29, 1915, in Sterling.
She was a member of Saint Anthony's Catholic Church.
Survivors include 13 sons, Anthony, Jake, Pete, George,
Phillip, Lawrence and Robert all of Sterling; John and Joe both of Northglenn; Alex of Mason City,Iowa; Adam of Junction City,Kansas; Andrew of Iliff; and Steven of Littleton; two daughters,Catherine of Sterling; and Anna Fowler of NorthGlenn; a brother, George Monheiser and sister, Barbara Schnieder both of Sterling, 73 grandchildren, 111 great-grand children and two great-great grandchildren.
She is preceeded in death by her husband Alexander Phillip, a daughter Mary Loos, and a son George.
