Funeral services for Melvin "Tony" Newton will be held at 3:00pm Thursday at Taylor Brothers Funeral Home in Bay City. The burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
Newton was born November 17, 1916, in Big Spring, Texas.
Surviving are two daughters, Marsha Newton Kirchmeier and Marlene Newton of Bay City; three sisters, Mrs. Peggy Mayhew and Mrs. Ethel Milstead of Bay City, Mrs. Esther Miller of Dallas, two brothers, Otis Newton of Alice and H.C. "Smokey" Newton of Nacogdoches.
