Jesse Marshall Newton, 88, died Monday in a local hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Taylor Funeral Home. The burial was in Bay City Cemetery.
Survivors include: His wife, Rena; Five sons, Hollis of Victoria, Lloyd of Edna, Melvin of Canada, Harvey of Bay City and Otis of Alice; four daughters, Mrs. E.L. Harvell of Bay City, Mrs. Esther Miller of Dallas and Mrs. Peggy Frisbee and Mrs. Ethel Milstead of Bay City, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Son of Ebenezer Whitfield Newton and Susan Jane Jewell. Husband of Edna Edith Tabb. Texas Death Cert State File No. 17472.
