He married Julia (Tyribakken) Gilbertson on Dec 16, 1911 in Houston, County, Minnesota. He has six sons, Elvern, Amer, James, Willie, Burnell, Arthur; two daughters, Marion and Bernice. Clarence was a true Gilbertson and loved to tease people, especially children. Survived by three brothers, Gerhard, Henry, Oscar; one sister, Anna. Preceded in death by his wife, three brothers, Timan, Peter, Willie.
