Oscar Magnus Gilbertson, age 79, died Saturday, April 19, 1975 at Raymond's Nursing Home in Austin, Minn. He was born to Gustav and Addie (Benson) Gilbertson in Spring Grove, Minn. He married Alma Emelia (Wiste) on July 9th, 1925 in LaCrescent, Mn. He was a farmer in Spring Grove and then moved to Austin in 1947 and worked for the city of Austin. He is survived by his wife, Alma; three sons, Arlen (Luella), Norvin, Gerald (Darlene), all of Austin; one daughter Vina (Jerome Forde) of Mabel, Minn; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister Anna (Gilmar) Muller, two brothers, Gerhard (Olga), Henry (Grace) all of Spring Grove. Preceding him in death were his parents, four brothers, Timan, Clarence, Peter, Willie. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 1975 at Bethlehem Free Methodist Church at 1:30PM with Rev. Carl Pavey officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Austin. Worlein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Robert Wiste, Harold Olerud, Reuben Kolsrud, Steven Gilbertson, James Gilbertson and Allan Forde.
