Mr. Gottlieb Klunck, 78, a resident of the Meadow View Manor Nursing Home for the past16 years, died Friday, November15, 1991, at St. Nicholas Hospital.
He was born on January 25, 1913, in Schaeffer, Russia, the son of the late John G. and Marie E. Hense Klunck.
He attended Trinity Lutheran School and served with the US Army during World War II from 1943 to 1946, serving in the European and African Theaters.
On July 15, 1950, he married Hildegard Korff of Sheboygan. She preceded him in death on August 28, 1975.
He was employed at the Schreir Malting Company for many years, retiring in 1967 due to ill health. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Gottlieb is survived by a son, Jack Klunck; a daughter and son-in-law, Robert and Vicki Jensema; one grandson, Chad; five brothers, Christ Klunck, Ernest Klunck, John Klunck Alex Klunck and Victor Klunck, all of Sheboygan; two sisters, Mrs. Elroy (Frieda) Rautmann, of Sheboygan, Mrs. Paul (Peggy) Johnson, Cedarburg. He was preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 8 p.m. at the Ballhorn Chapels. Rev. Arthur Dingel, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ballhorn Chapels on Monday from 4 p.m. to the time of service.
A memorial is established in the name of Christ Lutheran Church.
