Lived in a community on the Volga River prior to immigrating to the US in 1908.

Henry Meinhardt, 79 retired farmer, resident of Port Huron 24 years, died today in his home 527 Thirteenth street, after a short illness.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Meinhardt, three sons, John and Henry Meinhardt, both of Port Huron; and Fred Meinhardt, Park City, Mont.; two daughters, Mrs. William Smith, Port Huron, and Mrs. John Gitersonke, Detroit; a sister, Mrs. Samuel Runk, Port Huron; a brother, John Meinhardt, who lives in Russia; 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The remains are in the family residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in St. Martin's Lutheran church. Rev. Ernest Henkelman, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery.

Mr. Meinhardt, who was born July 28, 1857 in Russia, married Elizabeth M. Limbert in 1884.
