WAKEFIELD -- Charles K Smith, 81, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, in Obici Hospital, Suffolk. He formerly was a co-owner of the Virginia Diner. Mr. Smith was a native of Croswell, Mich. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Parish Church.

Survivors include his parents, Wilhelm and Elanor Mienhardt Smith; his wife, Gloria M Smith; one daughter, Mrs. Joseph F. Judkins Jr. of Auburn, Ala.; one son, Karl Christopher Smith of Farmington, PA.; two sisters, Mrs. Grant Arnold of Salem, S.C., and Mary Louise Anderson of Hobe Sound, Fla.; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Firday in Infant of Prague church, Wakefield, by the Rev. Neil Cline assisted by the Rev. Gene Teslovic.
