Edward "Ed" Haas age 74 of Sundance, WY, passed away July 16, 2007 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Ed was born on February 4, 1933 in Windsor, CO, to William and Katherine (Erbes) Haas. He was one of 11 children. He graduated at Windsor High School in 1951 and attended Colorado State University in 1952. He joined the Army in 1953 and served until 1955.

Ed married Ila Jean Sellin on April 20 1963. To this union 3 sons were born; Edward George (Ronda) of Newcastle, WY, Daniel John (Cindy) of Sundance, and William Eugene (Karin) of Minot, ND. He worked as an electrician with the IBEW local 415 until he retired when he was 62.

Ed had 5 Grandchildren. Douglass, Dustin, Ben, Bailey, and Edward Jay. He also had several nieces and nephews.

Ed loved to get mad at the Denver Broncos, umpire the little league baseball, go fishing with his friends, doing woodworking, playing cribbage, and giving people a hard time.

Ed is survived by his three sons, a sister Ruth Schmidt (Harold) of Timnath, CO, nieces and nephews, and all of his good friends.

Ed was preceded in death by his wife Ila, his parents, his sisters; Mary Jacoby, Helen Haas, Katherine Miller, Elizabeth Greenwald and Betty Schmidt, his brothers; William Haas Jr, Henry Haas, Phillip Haas, and Jacob Haas.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 20, 2007 at the Old High School Gymnasium in Sundance, with Pastor Duane Simonson officiating, burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Sundance.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Crook County Senior Services P.O. Box 648 Sundance, Wyo. 82729.
