George J. Dagan, 82, 524 E. Sardou, died Saturday at a Topeka hospital.

He was born May 4, 1897 at Topeka, the son of John P. and Katherine Hefner Degand and lived in Topeka all his life.
Entered Army June 6, 1918. 131st Company, 21st Grand Division, American Expeditionary Force.

Mr. Dagan was a retired truck driver for the City of Topeka. He was an Army veteran of World War I, 35th Engineers. He also was a former member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and a life member of Philip Billard Post No. 1650 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was married to Josephine B. Burke June 26, 1967 at Topeka. She survives.

Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Katherine Navarre, 3030 Burgess, and four brothers, John Degand of Lawrence, Casper Degand, 1028 N. Quincy, Jake Degand, 516 E. Paramore, and Mike Degand, 510 E. Gordon.

Services are pending at Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
