Anna is a daughter of Conrad and Katherine (Bernt) Hegwald. She was born in Hosenfalt, Russia and came with her parents to the United States in 1892. She married Henry Reisbig, they have nine children, one who never appears on any Census. Two children, Lizzie and unknown died before the 1910 Census.

She appears on the 1900, 1910, 1920, 1930, and 1940 Censuses with her husband, Henry.

Mrs Henry Reisbig died at Gridley
Mrs Henry Reisbig, aged 76 years, died about 6 o'clock Sunday evening, July 17, 1949, at the home just east of Gridley.  Mrs Reisbig had not been well for several years and had been bedfast for a month.  She was at the hospital at Halstead for awhile and was brought home Thursday.  Mr Reisbig and the children had all visited her at the hospital.

Mr and Mrs Reisbig were both born in the old country and came to the United States shortly after they were married and have lived near Gridley for a good many years.  She would have been 77 on August 10.

Mrs Reisbig is survived by her husband and Miss Mary and Henry Reisbig Jr of the home.  Wm Reisbig of Burlington; Conrad Reisbig of Gridley and Mrs Walter Witzig, Mrs Charles Hybarger and Benjamin Reisbig of Peoria, Illinois; nine grandchildren: Lloyd Reisbig of Gridley; Mrs Geo Spencer of Yates Center; Helen, Dorothy, Lawrence, Sherlyn Reisbig of Burlington; Shirley Ann and Linda Sue Witzig and Larry Reisbig of Peoria, Illinois; one great grandchild, Jerry Spencer of Yates Center.  H J Ramsdell of Burlington and George Pierce [s/b Pearce] of Emporia are nephews and Mrs Junie Clements of Texas and Mrs Christine Goodrick of St Louis are nieces.  One brother, William Hegwald and one sister Katherine Pierce [s/b Pearce] preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Mrs Henry Reisbig were held Wednesday afternoon at Gridley and were in charge of Sam Anliker.  A short service was held at the home at 1:30 with a prayer and a song "At Home 'Tis Well".  At the church at 2 o'clock the songs "Sweet Hour of Prayer", "Endure and Be Still" and "Rest My Soul in Comfort" were sung.  Casket bearers were: Henry J Ramsdell, Lloyd Reisbig, George Spencer, Imon Huber, Lewis Kraft and Frank Kraft.  Interment was in the Apostolic Christian cemetery.

Anna Katherine Reisbig, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Conrad Hegwald was born in Rosenfeld, Russia, August 10, 1872 and passed away July 17, 1949 at her home near Gridley.

In 1892 on December 25, she was married to Henry Reisbig in Russia.  To this union were born nine children, two preceding her in death.

Immediately after her marriage she came to the United State and became a citizen of the United States.  After entering the States she came direct to Coffey County, Kansas, with her husband and settle near Gridley.

She was a faithful member of the Christian Apostolic Church.  She was a kind and loving mother and will be greatly missed.  She made friends with  everyone and loved each and everyone.
