Mrs. Larson of Massena Receives Letter From Postoffice Department
MASSENA, Ia., Oct. 10 - Mrs. Georgia Larson, widow of the late Andrew Larson, has received the following letter from the post office department. Mr. Larson was connected with the department here for some years prior to his death and the letter is in appreciation of his services.

My Dear Mrs. Larson:
In behalf of the Department, I want to say a few words of appreciation of the excellent service rendered by your husband, Andrew Larson, during the period of his association with the Postal organization.
Mr. Larson was appointed mail carrier September 1, 1909, and for eleven years he performed his important duties in a painstaking and efficient manner, which won high commendation from the from the postmaster and the community. The Department is cognizant of the splendid work accomplished by Mr. Larson, and it appreciates the loss which it has experienced through his death.
I am sure that a man so zealous in the performance of his daily work was a devoted husband and father, and I extend to you and your daughter my heartfelt sympathies.

Son of Peter and Anna Marie (Mary) Larson. He married Georgina Alexandra Mary Dallas 22 Jul 1910. They were the parents of Dorothy and Marjorie. Marjorie married Harold Southall Williams. Georgina and Marjorie lived most of their lives and were buried in Ellensburg, Washington.
