Mr. Larson passed away April 28 at Corning, Iowa. Interment was at the Conway cemetery.
Lewis Larson, son of Peter and Mary Anderson Larson, was born January 8, 1870, near Leland, Illinois.
At the age of 5, he moved with his parents, brother, Andrew and sister, Julia to Iowa in a covered wagon and settled on a farm in Adams County. He grew to manhood near Massena, Iowa.
On March 10, 1901, he was united in marriage to Nora Anderson. To this union five children were born, 3 sons and 2 daughters.
He farmed many years in Taylor County and then retired to Clearfield. He was a member of the Clearfield Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, five sisters; wife, Nora, one daugther, Mrs. Verlea Hinshaw and one grandson, Robert Larson.
He is survived by his children, James Larson of Clearfield; Thomas Larson of Blockton; Mrs. Marie Lubkeman of Latimer, Iowa; Leroy Larson of Clearfield; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Johnston of Corning.

Mr. and Mrs. Jake Larson of Sharpsburg were hosts to an oyster dinner January 8th for Lewis Larson of Clearfield in observance of his one hundredth birthday.
Others present for this special occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Phil Larson of Clearfield and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Larson of Blockton, besides the hosts Mr. and Mrs. Jake Larson and Jim.
