OBITUARY (From The Altamont Enterprise, Altamont, N.Y. - March 11, 1955, pg. #6)
Mrs. Cornelia T. Gifford, wife of Charles D. Gifford, died in Albany hospital on Sunday morning.
Funeral service, with Rev. Richard B. Clark of Trinity Episcopal church, Rensselaerville, officiating, was held Tuesday afternoon at the Cunningham Funeral Home, Greenville. The body was placed in the Greenville receiving vault.
Mrs. Gifford was born at Medusa April 23, 1898, daughter of the late Wilson and Mary Plass Tanner.
Surviving besides her husband are four daughters, Mrs. Van Deusen Rector, Delanson; Mrs. Truesdell Miller, Berne; Mrs. William H. Alban, Glens Falls, and Mrs. Thomas Weinkauf, Rensselaerville; one sister, Mrs. Clinton Wood, Rensselaerville; also nine grandchildren.
