Mrs. Mead was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Leo Wissbaum; her second husband, Charles E. Mead; her parents, Charles and Mary Maurer, three brothers, Francis, Maurice and Bernard; and two sisters, Mary Strickland and Cecelia Knapp.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandra (Harold) Miller of Nashville, Tennessee and Elizabeth Wissbaum of Belleville, Illinois; three stepdaughters, Diane (Robert) Chope of Edmond, Oklahoma, Susan (Robert) Polster of Glencoe, Illinois and Jackie (Dave) Sanburn of Wichita, Kansas; four grandchildren, Katherine Hinton, Michelle Freas and Christopher and Andrew Alderson; four step-grandchildren, Nicki, Steven, Kevin and Andrew Chope; a brother, Charles Maurer; two sisters, Barbara Borchert and Betty Hankes; and five great-grandchildren.
