Husband of Lois Dornes DeSutter

MANITO: Rudy J. DeSutter, 75, of Manito died at 5:10 a.m. Monday, October 12, 1987, in St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.
Born July 12, 1912, in Manito to August and Irma Leers DeSutter, he married Lois Dornes February 25, 1938, in Peoria.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Larry of Manito; four brothers, Louis, Charles, Frank and John, all of Manito; five sisters, Betty Palmer, Mabel Ritchie and Clara Friedrich, all of Manito, Bertha Tassart of Pekin, and Ervina McPhail of Mount Sterling; two grandsons; and two stepgrandsons.
He farmed most of his adult life, retiring in 1968. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Manito, Knights of Columbus and Catholic Men's Club.
Services were Wednesday at his church. The Reverend Charles Beebe officiated, and burial was in Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito, IL.
