MANITO – Mabel T. Ritchie, 87, of 400 S. Park Ave. died at 11:50 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2002, at her residence.
Born July 3, 1914, in Manito to August and Erma Leers DeSutter, she married James Ritchie on June
24,1936, in Bloomington. He survives.
Also surviving is one son, James (and Sandi) of Bloomington; three brothers, Louie (and Dora) DeSutter, John (and Joann) DeSutter and Charles DeSutter, all of Manito; one sister, Vina McPhail of Mount Sterling; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Erma Nafziger; three brothers; and four sisters.
She was a sales clerk at DeSutter Supply for 14 years, retiring in 1974.
She was a member of United Methodist Church of Manito. She was also a member of Springlake Home Bureau.
Services with be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at her church, where visitation will be one hour before. The Revs. Becky Laumeier and David Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in the Meadow Lawn Cemetery. Maas Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Forman Ambulance.
