Jacob Brunner Sr., 81, resident of the Windsor community for 56 years, died Monday afternoon at Weld County General Hospital after a week's illness. He was a long-time rancher and feeder.

Brunner was born Aug. 15, 1882 in Grimm, Russia, and married Elizabeth Fritzler, Feb 1, 1905. She died in 1950 and he later married Katherine Dreith, Feb 25, 1952. Brunner, who retired in 1942, was a charter member of Zion United Church of Christ at Windsor.

Survivors include his wife; 8 children, Mrs. Mollie Reifschneider of Lynwood, Calif., Mrs. Emma Kindsfater, of Greeley, Henry, Gus an Jacob Jr., all of Windsor, Mrs. Freida Tanner of South Gate, Calif., Ben Brunner of Bedford, Indiana, and Mrs. Ellen Reifschneider of Boise, Idaho; a brother, John of Windsor; 4 step-daughters, Pauline Humphris, Kathryn Martin and Helen Glenski, all of Denver, and Mrs. Alex Dreith of Lakewood, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
