Katherine's funeral card reads:
"MRS. ROBERT A. DUMLER
Katherine, daughter of George and Eva Lass Rein was born December 31, 1891 at Friedenfeldt, Russia and died at the Russell City Hospital, Russell, KS on August 15, 1956. Her age was 64 years, 7 months and 16 days.
In early infancy she was baptized in the Lutheran Faith. In 1892 the family came to American and settled in Russell Co.. Here she attended elementary school and grew to womanhood. She was married to Robert A. Dumler on February 17, 1916 at Russell, KS. There were four children born to this marriage all of whom survive. After their marriage they lived on a farm in the Big Creek Community, southwest of Russell. With her husband, she raised her family in the Christian way of life. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, a good neighbor and a friend to all who new her. She entered the hospital 3 1/2 weeks ago and everything possible was done to restore her health by her husband, and children. However her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, called her to that House of many Mansions where she will enjoy life eternal.
To treasure and cherish her memory are her husband, Robert; the children, Mrs. Eva Mehler, Wichita, KS; Karl B. Dumler, Imperial Beach, Calif., Mrs. Irene Ball, Arlington, Va., Mrs. Helen Mae Nutsch, Russell, KS; 10 grandchildren and three brothers, George, Henry and Ben Rein, all of Russell; two sisters, Mrs. Mollie Milberger, Mrs. Eva Karst, also of Russell and many other relatives. A sister, Mrs. Emanuel Keil, preceded her in death, August 30, 1955.

Services: Held Sunday, August 19, 1956, at 2:00 p.m. from the Deines Funeral Home and Final Rites from St. John's Lutheran Church at 2:30 p.m.

Mrs. Dumler's Illness Is Fatal
Big Creek Resident Was Born In Russia
Mrs. Robert A. Dumler, a resident of Russell County for more than 60 years, died at 10:30 a.m. today at the Russell Hospital after being ill about a year. She was 64.
Mrs. Dumler was born in Russia on Dec. 31, 1894. She came to this country with her parents the next year.
Funeral Services are pending. Deines Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She had resided on a farm in the Big Creek community since her marriage.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Dumler is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Leon Mahler of Wichita, Mrs. Robert Ball of Falls Church Va., and Mrs. Paul Nutsch, of the home; one son, Carl B., in the Navy at San Diego; two sisters, Mrs. Jacob Karst of Hoisington and Mrs. H. B. Milberger of Russell, and three brothers; George Rein, Henry Rein, and Ben Rein, all of Russell.
A sister, Mrs. Emanuel Keil, died about a year ago.
Mrs. Dumler was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
