Henry Rein
Henry Rein, son of George and Eva (Lass) Rein, was born in Friedenfeldt, Russia, October 20, 1888. He came to this country with his parents in 1892. Their first home was in Rush County, Kan. In 1901, they came to Russell County and settled on a farm in the Pioneer Community.

On December 31, 1911, he married Katie Foos with whom he shared the birth and guidance of four children, Mrs. Edwin (Esther) Olson, Russell; Carl, of Bunker Hill; Edwin, of Russell, and Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Wire, Smith Center, Kan.
He farmed the family homestead until they retired in 1947 and established their home in Russell. God blessed him with good health all of his lifetime until a month before his death. He was admitted to Russell Hospital, Nov. 29, and death came Dec. 9, 1966 at the age of 78 years, 1 month and 19 days.

Surviving him are his wife and children, eight grand-children, a brother, Ben Rein, and a sister, Mrs. H. B. Milberger, both of Russell; and a number of nieces and nephews. His parents, a brother and three sisters preceded him in death.

Memorial Service: Held Monday, Dec. 12, 1966 from the Deines Brothers Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Minister: Rev. Harold C. Lambert, Pastor of the Trinity Methodist Church
