She passed away at the age of 73. She grew up on a farm and assisted her Father and brothers with farm work. After completing High School in 1915 she attended a college to become a school teacher.
She married Leonard Koester in 1921. They farmed near Fairfax, Mn till 1928 when they moved to a farm near Lake Lillian, Mn. Her Husband passed away in 1940. She was left with 7 children, under the age of 17, a small farm with little income. She had a strong christian faith and the Koester family survived
A service was at Grace Lutheran church , Lake Lillian , MN. April 9, 1969 and was interned at Tromso cemetery. She is survived by her children : Laurice, Myron, Roland, Virgil, Harold , Lorraine and Lila
