Death Summons Mrs. Schnabel; Funeral Monday
Mrs. Susan Schnabel, 75, died suddenly last night at 9:05 o'clock at her home, 611 Walnut street. Her passing was attributed to a heart condition.
Mrs. Schnabel, who was the widow of William Schnabel, was a native of Ansonia, O., but had lived in this county and city since childhood. She was a daughter of the late William and Margaret Mote. Mrs. Schnabel, was a charter member of St. Paul's Lutheran church.
She is survived by two daughters and five sons: Mrs. Earl Adams, of Rising Sun; Mrs. Bernice McKay; at home; William E. Nathan E., Raymond K. and Ben C. Schnabel, all of Madison, and Gilbert E. Schnabel, of Boonton, N.J.; a brother, Michael Mote, of Dayton, O.; three sisters, Mrs. Stella Smith, of his city; Miss Sarah Mote, of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Mabel Vance, of Belmound, Iowa; also 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles, a Lutheran minister, and two sisters.
Services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in St. Paul's church, and burial will be in Springdale cemetery. Friends may call at the Lytle Mortuary after 7:30 o'clock tonight.
