Esther was a partner with her four brothers at Krug Brothers Sand & Gravel. In 1972 she moved from the farm into Laurel where she resided until her death.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents, John Jacob and Mary Elizabeth Krug; along with her brothers and sisters, Mary, Mollie, Annie, Lizzie, Alec, Jake, John, Henry, Adam, Willy and Martha; also a niece (like her twin), Lydia (Dot).
She is survived by one brother, George (Shorty), and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Laurel.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at Smith Funeral Chapel-Laurel, with burial in the Laurel Cemetery.
