Martha (Krug) Kohl went to be with our Lord on Oct. 3, 2012. Martha was born the daughter of John Jacob and Maria Elisabeth Krug in Laurel at home on Dec. 5, 1929. She lived in the Laurel area all her life. She went to the Byam School her first eight years and four years in Laurel High School, graduating in 1950.

She met her husband, Frank, at an ice skating party and on April 14, 1951, they were married. They raised six wonderful daughters whom they received great support from throughout the years.

Martha is survived by her six daughters: Linda Doyle, Karen Kohl (Steve Runkles), Colleen Waggoner, Cynthia (Gregg) Saatzer, Brenda LeBrun, Janet (David) Bohach; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two siblings, George and Esther.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; granddaughters Grand Daughters: Nicole Kohl and Kimberly (Tucker) Johnson; and son-in-law Dale LeBrun; her parents; brothers Alec, Jake, John, Henry, Adam and William; sisters Mary Frickel, Mollie Gomer, Annie Nielson and Liz McLaughlin; as well as a niece, Dot Frank.
