Mrs. John W. Piper died at her home here at 11:45 p.m. Sunday after an illness of three years.

Mrs. Piper was born here June 29, 1868, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sircher. She was married April 12, 1887 to Fred Maas who died in 1914. She married John W. Piper Sept. 17, 1924.

Survivors are her husband, and two daughters, Mrs. E. J. Piper and Mrs. Henry Westfahl; one son, Fred Maas; four grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Jensen, all of this city.

Mrs. Piper was a member of the Ladies’ Aid of Ebenezer Reformed church.

The funeral was held privately from the Erbe-Hoffmann Funeral Home, the Rev. Edmund Hennig officiating. Burial was in Hillside cemetery.
