Henry Hunninghake, Seneca, Kan.

Henry Hunninghake, 78, died Friday, at a Seneca hospital. He was born at St. Benedict, Kan., and was raised east of Kelly, Kan. He attended St. Bede's School.

Mr. Hunninghake, had farmed in the rural area of Kelly and Corning, Kan., for 50 years, retiring in 1982, and moving to Seneca. He was a member of the SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and the St. Joseph Society of the Church, both at Seneca.

He married the former Mary Boeckmann, on Oct. 7, 1931, at St. Bedes Catholic Church, at Kelly. She survives him, of the home.

Additional survivors are three sons: Dr. Donald Hunninghake, Minneapolis, Dr. Leroy Hunninghake, Princeton, MO., and Dr. Gary Hunninghake, Iowa City, Iowa; two daughters: Mary Lee Quinn, Oklahoma City, and Alice Wurtz, Topeka, Kan.; a brother, Leo Hunninghake, Seneca; a sister, Elizabeth Kongs, Kelly; four half-brothers: Ben Glissman and Cal Glissman, both of Seneca, August Glissman, Valley Falls, Kan., and Cletus Glissman, Wetmore, Kan.; four half-sisters. Sister Agnes Maire Glissman, Papillion, Neb., Frances Steinlage, and Agnes Boden, both of Corning, and Theresa Blocker, Wetmore; and 14 grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m., Monday, at the SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Seneca.

Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Arrrangments are under the direction of the Lauer Funeral Home, Seneca, where rosaries' will be held at 7 this evening, 2 p.m., Sunday, and 7, Sunday evening.
