Warren G. Uphoff of Blooming Grove died at St. Mary's Hospital yesterday morning as a result of knife wound in right thigh, which severed the arteries and caused an effusion of blood so great that death was feared from the first. Mr. Uphoff was dividing a hog hanging on gambrele, when half of it fell driving the knife into his limb. The deceased was 27 years old and was born in the town of Cottage Grove where his mother died many years ago. His father, Simon Uphoff, still resides with his second wife there. Besides his father, several brothers and sisters, the young man is survived by a wife and three children.
