William had 8 children:

William Smith and Dorothy Falk were born in Russia and their mother was Sophia Harriet who died in Russia.

William & Eleanor (Laura) Schmidt had 5 children Sophia Wirtz, Elizabeth, Charles, Eleanor Arnold & Mary Louise Anderson.

William Smith, 72, Port Huron resident 26 years died Thursday in his home, 1420 Francis St. after a long illness. He was born June 2, 1867 in Susannenthal, Russia and came to the United States 32 years ago.

He is survived by his widow, and three sons William, Charles and Samuel Smith, all of Port Huron, four daughters, Mrs. Andrew Falk, Flint, and Mrs. John Wirtz, Miss Eleanor Smith and Miss Mary Louise Smith, all of Port Huron; a brother David Smith who lives in Wyoming and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in St. Paul’s Lutheran church of which Mr. Smith was a member. Rev. Fred Schimal his pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

The remains will be in the family residence until the services.
