Mrs. Pauline Atkinson, 94, of Mount Calvary, died Friday evening at Villa Loretto Nursing Home, Mount Calvary. Born June 11, 1880, at Mount Calvary, she was the daughter of Anton and Agnes Hartogh Schmitz. She married Maxwell Atkinson Sr. on Nov. 23, 1912, at Red Lodge, Mont. The couple resided in the Mount Calvary area all their married life. She was a member of Holy Cross Church, Mount Calvary, and its Christian Mothers Society. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Maxine Roehrig of Malone, Mrs. Harold Jeske of Larsen, and Mrs. Ambrose King of Van Dyne; three sons, Donald of Fond du Lac, and Willard and Maxwell, both of Mount Calvary; four sisters, Mrs. Ida Wuest of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Anna Konen of the Villa Loretto Nursing Home, Mrs. Henry Feyen of New Holstein, and Mrs. Ray Sippel of Mount Calvary; 35 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her busband in 1948 and six sisters and brothers. Brief family rites will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Huss Funeral Home, St. Cloud. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, Mount Calvary, the Rev. Rupert Dorn officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
