Mrs. Catherine Mary Holzmann, 66, Mount Calvary, died at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, at St. Agnes Hospital from injuries sustained in an auto accident near Waupaca on April 29, 1956. The body of Mrs. Holzmann is in state at the Lisowe funeral home in St. Cloud until the service at Holy Cross church in Mount Calvary. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Born April 9, 1890, in the Town of Marshfield, she was the daughter of Anton and Agnes (née Hartogh) Schmitz. On April 3, 1913, she married Math Holzmann at Holy Cross church.

Surviving are her widower; a son, Anthony, of Mount Calvary; two brothers, Richard of Marytown and Anton of Fond du Lac. Also surviving are seven sisters: Ida Wuest and Julia Rieden, both of Fond du Lac; Pauline Atkinson, Miss Emily Schmitz, and Lyda Sippel, all of Mount Calvary; Anna Marie Konen of Glenbeulah, and Alma Feyen of New Holstein. Two grandchildren also survive.

Her parents and two brothers preceded her in death.

Mrs. Holzmann was a member of the Christian Mothers society and the American Legion auxiliary of Alex M. Abler, Post 454.
