Mollie was the second child born to Henry Conrad Green and Christina Yeager (both born Russia, German descent) in Norka, Russia. At a young age she traveled with her father, mother, older sister and younger brother to the United States. They would settle in a neighborhood called Globeville in Denver, Colorado. Five more brothers and four more sisters were added to her family. She attended Denver Public Schools through the 8th grade. She became a member of the First German Congregational Church as a child (later she would become a member of the Ladies Aid). On October 16, 1921 she married Henry J Kahler (also born in Russia, German descent) in Denver. Between 1923 and 1945 they had 12 children: Mildred, Helen, Earl, Ileen, Walter, Harold, Leroy, Ken, Shirley, Harvey, Phyllis and Richard. Mollie spent her time at home taking care of her large family. In 1965 Henry passed away. Over the years Mollie watched her family change with the passing of her father, mother, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and 2 sons. There were a lot of marriages and births. She left behind 23 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren. At the age of 88 she passed from this life at St. Luke's Hospital in Denver. Her life was celebrated at the First German Congregational Church October 14, burial followed at Crown Hill Cemetary in Wheatridge. There was a gathering of family and friends of which there were many following the burial, at the church.
