Florence Loretto Schlepphorst, age 92 of Edina, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2000 at the Knox County Nursing Home in Edina, Missouri.

The daughter of John and Elizabeth Zurborg Schlepphorst, she was born January 27, 1908 at Edina, Missouri.

Ms. Schlepphorst was a life long resident of Edina. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and of a business college of Kansas City, Missouri. Florence was the secretary and housekeeper for the St. Joseph Catholic Church for a number of years. She was engaged in farming north of Edina where she also raised cattle.

Her parents, four brothers and five sisters preceded her in death.

Surviving are one sister, Bernadine Haddick and husband John of Edina, Missouri; nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mass of the Christian Burial was held Friday, June 30, 2000 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina with Father Rob Fields presiding. Reader and Bearer of Gifts were Susan Blodgett and Susanna Downing.

Burial was in the St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery at Edina, Missouri. Casket bearers were Jack McCauley, Tom O'Brien, Bruce Normile, Jerome Kriegshauser, Leslie Karhoff and Bill Delaney.
