Former Quincy and Edina Barber Dies
Edina, Mo., Dec. 19—Lawrence B. Schlepphorst, 61, a retired Edina and Quincy (Ill.) barber, died at 6 Monday evening in his Edina home. He had been ill for several months.
A son of John and Elizabeth Schlepphorst, Mr. Schlepphorst was a barber in the W.C.U.building at Quincy for many years before coming to Edina.
Mr. Schlepphorst attended St. Joseph school at Edina and Bradley College for Watchmaking at Peoria.
On April 1, 1928, he married Catherine Riley who survives with two sons, Lawrence, Jr., stationed with the armed forces at Tucson, Ariz., and Robert L. of Denver, Col.; two brothers, John of Edina and Paul of Louisiana; five sisters, Mrs. Stephen Mayer of Baring, Misses Clara and Florence Schlepphorst of Edina, Mrs. John Haddick of Chillicothe and Miss Ruth Schlepphorst of Quincy, Ill., and five grandchildren.
