Mrs. Anna Abler: Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mt. Calvary for Mrs. Anna Abler, 88, a resident of the Boyle Home Fond du Lac, and formerly of Mt. Calvary, who died Saturday at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac. The Rev. Rupert Dorn, pastor, will be celebrant.
Brief family rites will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Huss Funeral Home, St. Cloud, Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
She was born July 8, 1886 at St. Cloud, a daughter of the late Frederich and Lucy Sippel Bleuel.
On November 21, 1905 she was married to Mathias Abler at Mt. Calvary. The couple lived in the Mt. Calvary area their entie married lives. Her husband died in 1941.
She was a member of Holy Cross parish, its Christian Mothers Society and the Third Order of St. Francis. She was an honorary member of the Abler-Engel American Legion Post of Mt. Calvary, named after her son.
Survivors are three sons, Ambrose of St. Paul, Minn., Ralph of Milwaukee and Lawrence of Selinsgrove, Pa.; four daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Lucy) Mertens and Mrs. Edmund (Cordula) Wagner, both of Fond du Lac, Miss Patricia Abler of Milwaukee and Miss Genevieve Abler, at home; 19 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Mannenbach of Mt. Calvary, Mrs. William Smith of Evanston, Ill., and Mrs. Ray Rieder of Johnsburg; three brothers Benjamin Bleuel, and Charles, both of Fond du Lac and Anthony of Mt. Calvary.
Four sons, a daughter, brother and sister preceded her in death.
