Louis "Bud" Meyer, 64, a long-time Dodge County resident, died Tuesday at his West Concord home of natural causes.

Mr. Meyer was born February 1, 1915, in Blunt County, South Dakota. He married Irene Babcock August 19, 1944, in West Concord. The couple farmed in Ellington Township in Dodge County for twenty years before moving to West Concord in 1964. Mr. Meyer operated two filling stations in West Concord for several years and for the past six years has been employed by Boe Jeep, West Concord.

Survivors include his wife; eight daughters, Judy Meyer, Minneapolis; Mrs. Michael (Liz) Belina, Owatonna; Mrs. Steve (Debra) Youngberg, Kerkhoven, Minnesota; Mrs. Keith (Kitty) Baker, Kansas City, Kansas; Janny Meyer, wife of Terry Gearin, Minneapolis; Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Schriver, Minneapolis; and Mary and Angela at home; two sons, James, Minneapolis; and William, Fort Dodge, Iowa; three grandchildren; two brothers, Gregory, Zumbrota; and George, West Concord; four sisters, Mrs. Marcel (Margaret) Van Den Hemel, Dodge Center; Mrs. Harold (Louise) Paukert, Fort Worth, Texas; Mrs. Frank (Dorothy) Bruns, Bloomington; and Mrs. Orrion (Edith) Barger, Chamberlin, South Dakota.

Funeral will be 10:30am Friday at St. Vincent Catholic Church, West Concord, Rev. J. P. Fasnacht officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery in West Concord. Pallbearers will be Francis, Jerry and Ronald Meyer, Ervin and Peter Boe and Pat McCool. Friends may call at West Concord Funeral Chapel 3:00 to 5:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm Thursday. There will be wake service at 7:30pm Thursday at the funeral chapel.
