Miss Dorothy Meyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Meyer of Ellington, became the bride of Benjamin Petzel, son of Mr. and Mrs. August Petzel of Henderson, in a double ring ceremony performed by Rev. Thomas Ploof at high noon on Saturday, September 14, at St. Francis deSales Church. The bride wore a spice colored suit with black accessories, and had a corsage of sweetheart roses. The matron of honor was her sister, Mrs. Harold Paukert of Minneapolis, who was dressed in a blue suit with brown accessories and wore a corsage of gold gladioli. The groom's sister, Miss Sarah Petzel was bridesmaid and wore a gold suit with black accessories, and her corsage was of orchid gladioli. The groom was attended by his brother Lorenz Petzel, and by Harold Paukert, brother-in-law of the bride. All wore dark blue suits with white aster boutonnieres. Following the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served to the immediate families of the bridal couple at the home of the bride's parents. The newlyweds left on a two weeks' wedding trip to northern Minnesota, and upon their return will make their home after October 1st at Belle Plaine where the groom is employed.
