Paul Arvin Karst, 76, Broadmoor, Loveland, died Sept. 2 at his home. He was born Dec. 19, 1913, in Russell County, KS, to Jacob J. and Mollie (Keil) Karst. He married Emma L. Ochs June 20, 1937, in Milberger, KS. He worked for the Shell Oil Co. for five years in Kansas and then farmed in Kansas. He then worked for the Rocky Mountain National Park for six years; then for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in management; and operation foreman on the Navajo Reservation at Rock Point, AZ for 13 years before his retirement. He moved to Loveland in Feb. 1978 from Cortez, CO. He was a member of the King of Glory Lutheran Church in Loveland.

He is survived by his wife, Emma L. Karst, Loveland; a son, Gerald L. Karst and wife Karen, Greeley, CO; a daughter, Aletha DeLeo and husband, Phil, Denver; granddaughters, Amy and Becky Karst, Greeley; sisters, Clara Eacret, Florence, AZ; Elma Morgenstern, Elsie Brack, Esther Scheuerman and Martha Brack, Russell, KS; Doris Koch, Arvada, CO; brothers, Albert C. Karst, Arvada, and Herbert B. Karst, Newton, KS.

Services were Sept. 6, at the church. Burial in Resthaven Memory Gardens. Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home in charge.
